Indeed... I have used expired film before with both good results and not so happy ones. i have also left film in the car all day with no ill effects. But I would never leave it in for an overnight stay or for extended time periods. I keep all my film in the fridge but still have a roll every now and then that seems to not be perfect. Even had Kodachrome to look flat before. Plus we need to remember that the film doesn't come in a refridgerator truck to the camera store so it could have gotten hot plenty of times.
