The Baltimore Museum of Art has recently acquired a "Precision Color Camera" for its American Decorative Arts collection. The Museum’s curator for Decorative Arts, James Abbott has asked, and I have volunteered to collect information on the camera and its maker.
I am seeking information about the history of the camera, its maker and its operation. I would also be interested in potential sources of documents, including photographs, related to the design, development and use of the camera.
I can assure you that sources of information about the camera will be cited in text that accompanies its display.
The camera's nameplate reads as follows:
Precision Color Camera
Built by: Stanley Young
Model F
Chicago
Series 2
Thank you in advance for any information you may be able to provide.
