I've been playing with photography on-and-off seriously for about 35 years. I put myself through college doing weddings, bar-mitzvahs, etc.

I do mostly nature and natural history today.

I am relatively new returning to the US after many years abroad - I have just finished building a new darkroom, my third. Color and b&w.

I have both 35mm and MF systems, but I lean a lot towards the MF. Slows me down. I get about the same number of "keepers" per roll! :-)

I shoot almost all negative. The point of my photography is to make prints, not to have slides on someone's light table. I want them on my walls, on other people's walls, etc. I want to be able to show them to guests without setting up a projector.
