Born in Vancouver, B.C., I have lived most of my life in California. I work as a freelance writer and photographer.

I have contributed a chapter to the soon-to-be-published book "A Journey Through The Archive," a publication which will be put out by Women In Photography International Archive, which is located in Arcata, California. It was an honor to be involved in this project. My participation was exciting for me for many reasons, but primarily because I want to be involved in having women recognized for their photographic talents and work.

While taking classes from U.C Berkeley to finish a degree, I am working on my first novel and trying very hard to become a competent printer of alternative methods photographic prints (mainly gum and cyanotype). I work in formats from 35mm up to and including 8 X 10 and have started making my own paper for these prints.

Being awarded the Licentiateship distinction from The Royal Photographic Society is a goal I recently achieved. This allows me to use the letters LRPS after my name. My next goal along this line is to earn the Associateship Distinction from RPS.

I also belong to and participate in Professional Photographers of California, the Photographic Society of America and local art groups.

Reading is one of my passions and review books (many are books about photography)for, among other publications and entities, the Alt-Photo Circle and the magazine Affaire de Coeur. My most recent endeavor is working as a portrait photographer in a local store/studio called "Angels Among Us."

It has taken me a long time to achieve most of my goals, but I find that the recent years have been my most productive and it is always better late than never.

Another passion I have is a love of animals. I read about them as much as possible and have had a couple of articles published about some of the wildlife in the southern California desert, the area in which I live. My best friends are my Alaskan Malamute "Skye," my English Springer Spaniel "Sunny," and my cat Gypsy.

My husband is retired and my children grown. The best is yet to come.
