Reciprocity Failure
Additional details: 8008s, short zoom at 28mm, Velvia, f16 at whatever length of time the camera chose - somewhere between 15 and 30 seconds.
This is Ned's Point light in Mattapoisett, MA. The time of day was around 5:30am, the sky was relentlessly even and gray, sun came up about 6:15 and the sky was lightening. The light is whitewashed stucco over fieldstone boulders. What I saw was a study in tones of pale, pale whitish gray. What the film saw was this.
I guess I've arrived at the point in my shooting when I need to learn how to deal with reciprocity falure.......
